What is it?
Short term group discussion of life
problems, to allow new coping strategies to develop and better
relationships
for the future
Who will benefit from the therapy?
Individuals,
couples and families
What will happen at a consultation?
Clients
meet for a one hour session with two or three qualified therapists, one of whom
will always take the lead.
Discussion follows an informal pattern, with the
supporting therapists forming a reflecting team to comment from
time to time.
What
are the side effects?
Discussion of life problems may involve emotional
moments for clients. These are carefully managed during sessions
so that
emotions may be released safely and in a way that is beneficial to clients.
